Gradings

Motsneeuw

Motsneeuw is not really snow. It looks like snow, but it is to snow what drizzle is to rain. I went out around 11am this morning to find cars covered in white powder and certain (less-patronised) areas of the city were white as. Eindhovens Dagblad are asking people to send in snow photos.

Christmas and related activities

So Europe appears to have a) gotten cold and b) gone Christmas mad.
Last week was Sinterklaas in the Netherlands. This is a bigger celebration than Christmas here, in terms of presents. The story goes that Sinterklaas arrives from Spain in November on a boat to prepare for handing out presents on December 5th/6th. Naughty children [...]
