From lichtstad to koekstad
Everywhere has a nickname. Some end in “stad” [nl]: Eindhoven is known as “lichtstad” because of its connection with Philips, and my destination a few weeks ago, Deventer, is known as the “koekstad”. (Being a good tourist, I purchased some of the apparently famous Deventer koek, but haven’t tried it yet.)
